RISE-GHANA promotes the best interest of children through child protection interventions, promoting local participation in school governance to address issues of quality access, enrolment and retention of Orphans, vulnerable and children with special needs. This is done through advocacy and lobbying for resource allocation and improvement in infrastructure and human resource. OVCs from poor households are also supported to acquire education and employable skills.
Applying the principles of the Convention on the Rights of the Child, strategies are adopted to promote and protect the rights of children by preventing abuse, exploitation, violence and neglect from household, economic and academic spheres. We campaign for school safety and abolishment of corporal punishment in school.
Facilitating the education of needy children by engaging in advocacy for propoor education policies and addressing issues of access and quality. Providing Skills Training for Orphans and Vulnerable Children to improve their livelihoods.
